• Material: Precision-machined, hardened tool steel to withstand continuous high-speed top-end cycling and impact forces.

• Placement: It sits directly on top of the exhaust valve stem, nesting into or over the exhaust valve spring retainer (depending on the specific model year/retainer style).

• Mechanism & Purpose: It is a mechanical rotation device (often referred to in workshops as a rotocap). Every time the rocker arm strikes down on the valve stem, the internal geometry of this cap induces a micro-rotation (a tiny fraction of a degree) on the valve.
